Fizz Bomb

The bath bombs I’ve been making aren’t exactly the same quality as those from big stores who have years of experience in me. In search for a better mix, I wanted to make bath bombs that were more fizzy and offered better colouring power than just citric acid, baking soda and food colouring.

So I started off with my normal recipe and added as much slsa as I had tapioca starch. I figured there’s SLS is in Lush’s bath bombs, this should turn out about the same.

They turned out more foamy than fizzy. I presume this has something to do with the fact that I put oil as a binding agent rather than witch hazel and probably more slsa than was needed. I kinda want the sparkly sound and hope that using witch hazel will fix that. I also think I need more vibrant colours since I didn’t see much difference between the powder vs the food colouring. Overall though, I’m pretty happy with the turnout. It’s mid-way between bath bomb and bubble bar but it does the trick!
